What's it all about?

Be Local is a brand-new community support initiative designed to help local businesses and households across the Weald of Kent and Sussex, as well as support the environment, following the 2020 lockdown.

Launched by The Hive in Cranbrook, the Be Local scheme will:

provide free monthly promotion for local businesses (including homeworkers, not-for-profit organisations and charities) until 31st December 2020
reward local households for their custom with a variety of exclusive deals and discounts
support good causes and the environment

£200 to new carers

We are offering new carers £200 (t and c apply) Competitive rates of pay To fulfil the job role you need to have a mode of transport. If you are not a car driver a moped is acceptable. We ask all of our carers to be available at least two evenings a week and to be available alternative weekends (Saturdays and Sundays). Lockdown service

We are currently adhering to the current lockdown restrictions but we are offering a click and collect (through our website) and a phone ordering system. We are also helping to help fund raise for the Scouts, who are embarking on a journey to follow the path Ernest Shackleton sailed to Antarctica and so we are selling facemasks for £4 each with all the proceeds going to ReQuest 2021. The event is also about drawing attention to global warming.

Discovery Session

A Discovery session gives you the opportunity to explore either an equine assisted session or trauma sensitive session without the horses. This is normally done in person however with lockdown restrictions I am offering an hours zoom session to connect and see how I may be able to help you. A Discovery session is usually £40 but I am discounting it to £30 for Be Local cardholders. I am also offering a free session by zoom for NHS workers. This opportunity is to connect with you, explain a little about psycho-education and offer some tools for emotional regulation at this difficult time. It is an opportunity to invest some time in your emotional wellbeing. Sessions thereafter are bespoke and tailored to individual requirements.
